Archaistic Chinese Jade carving, a collectors piece! Chinese Jade has had a long standing appeal, and a very long history in Chinese culture. It was only available to be owned by royalty and very high ranking officials, and always had special significance, as was reflected by the items carved, as well as the carvings on the items. Jade held many places of honor in Chinese culture. Chinese Jade comes in many colors, from green to black to white, and was carved into many objects. We have a small personal collection and have focused on green jades, mostly nephrite. WHAT WE ARE OFFERING here is a Han Dynasty style archaistic nephrite jade Double Camel with raven humps. This large carving weighs approx 1235 grams, and is surface carved- it also shows surface texture from recrystalization of the jade caused by being buried in the earth for a long time. It is an amazing piece, worthy of display. $50,000 for this unique piece of Chinese jade.
